This page is all about conservatory cleaning costs and how much you’re likely to pay in 2022 for this service.
As you can imagine, there are many aspects to a conservatory clean; some customers only want the windows cleaned, others expect the frame and roof to be included, while some may be looking for the internal frame and glass to be cleaned as well.
At the premium end of the cleaning scale is the so-called “Conservatory Valet”. This is where the entire conservatory is deep cleaned, inside and out, plus the gutters, window and door openers and also the frames. In addition, a special Upvc frame cleaner and protector is used on the plastic trims to rejuvenate the colour and offer ongoing protection. A glass cleaner that leaves a protective film on the glass can also be applied.
Needless to say; a full valet is at the top end of the price range…
£1300 to Clean a Conservatory: You’re Kidding, Right?
A few weeks ago a friend got in touch with us and asked us how much we thought a conservatory inside-and-out clean would cost.
Before we could answer the question, she told us that a well-known firm had quoted her a whopping £1300 and that the salesperson had spent an hour taking notes of the conservatory, even though it was of average size and quite standard.
We told our friend that this price was considerably higher than what most people would pay for a conservatory clean.

But How Much Does it Normally Cost to Clean a Conservatory?
We’ve done some digging and found plenty of price lists online, mostly from window cleaners that also clean conservatories.
We also fired off over a dozen emails to similar firms and asked them for a price to clean a conservatory, inside and out.
The prices in the table below are an average of prices given to us in 2022:
Item: | Price: |
---|---|
Average size conservatory - exterior only | £135 |
Average size conservatory inside and out | £300 |

Here’s What We Know About Conservatory Cleaning
Dirty conservatories with mould, algae and pollution ingrained into the Upvc plastic frame and trims can take hours to clean thoroughly.
White frames typically take longer than brown frames to clean.
You can expect a cleaner to take between 2-4 hours to clean the exterior of a conservatory, that’s the glass wall panels, roof panels, frames, sills, trims and roof ridge.
The inside of a conservatory often takes longer, this is because the panels can’t be soaked and rinsed with water like the exterior panels can be.
What’s Included in a Full Valet Service?
A full valet goes one step further than an inside-and-out clean and while every firm will offer a slightly different service, most will include:
- Thorough clean of the exterior of the conservatory.
- Clear out gutters and rinse through.
- Apply Upvc cleaner and protector to frames, trims, sills and ridge.
- Apply a water-repellant solution to the exterior of glass panels.
- Thorough clean of the interior including window openers, handles, hinges, locks and glass panels.
- Polish Upvc elements with a dedicated cleaning solution.
- Lubricate locks and hinges.
